I can’t think of anything in the DC Universe from Morrison that I haven’t read already, so lately I have had my eyes all over stuff from Geoff John’s stuff because he is most likely my favorite CURRENT DC writer, so Flash #1 came out at a really good time for me.  The beginning of THIS run on The Flash is so far definitely as good as his start on the current Green Lantern run, especially considering I’m one of the very small faction of fans who find the No Fear trade to be so much more fun to read than Rebirth.  Flash #1 has what it takes story-wise to make wanna plop $2.99 on the counter next month for Flash #2…

I’m just not that big a fan of this artist’s style though.  I know there are some folks out there that eat this kind of shit up, but it just doesn’t agree with my personal taste buds very much.  Don’t get me wrong, I have seen much worse, but I think there are plenty of better artists and artist’s styles out there that I would rather sink my teeth into, and I kind of wish that they had picked somebody else for this run.  I’m sure plenty of you out there disagree, especially because I’m not a super big fan of Frank Quitely’s art style neither, but I’m much more into stuff from artists like Ivan Reis, Ethan Van Schiver, Alex Ross, JH Williams, Jim Lee, Andy Kubert, Tony Daniel, etc.  It’s not enough to let it bother me, I can still make out what’s going on and such, I just wish they had gone with a different style on this is all that I’m saying.  Argue if you want, but that is just me.
