So, I’ve been consistently reading and enjoying FF since Waid and Ringo were writing.
I have a full run of the Byrne run and a lot of miscellaneous issues
beyond that. Basically, you can say I’m an FF fan. With that in mind, I
thought this issue was alright. If you didn’t read the Dark Reign mini,
this issue probably would have been a little difficult to get into, so
it kind of failed that way. The action was alright. I like the idea of
people other than Doom being mental challenges for Reed. However, The
Wizard was beaten rather handily here and by one of the oldest tricks
in the super hero playbook. As for the child in the story, I hope he
doesn’t end up getting adopted by the Richards and then ends up being a
plant. The development at the end was interesting, but not overly
surprising. Though, the ruling council was pretty awesome. I liked the
art okay. Eaglesham did a great job giving the characters a good and
distinct. The only thing is his Reed looks weird to me. The muscles are
too defined. It really helps make him look different than Plastic Man
or Elongated Man.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 3 - Good
