Yay Jonathan Hickman’s debut on the Fantastic Four ongoing title. While it washed the taste of Millar’s run out of my mouth this issue was good but not great…yet.  Hickman has his work cut out for him if he wants to get this title back to greatness and revelance in the Marvel Universe.  I think that he can and the proof is in his Dark Reign Fantastic Four miniseries.  On thing I miss form Millar’s run was the intro that had Valeria’s social networking blog. That was very inventive.  This was only the first issue on Hickman’s run so I’ll give him some time and several issues before I will know what to make of it.  Dale Eaglesham took over on art duties and I really don’t know what to think.  Some of it looks good and other things look like crap. The bigest problem he Eaglesham’s Reed Richards. Normally when you see a muscular guy with a beard in Marvel you think Hercules not Reed Richards. I would have really like to see Hickman continue pairing up with Shaun Chen. His work in the mini was great.  I think Eaglesham would have been better maybe filling in on Thor or taking over Incredible Hulk.  The spirit of this book is still intact. It is still about family and about adventure.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good
