I just started this series with this issue and so far so good.   Fables is a nice jump from my usual picks.  Some of my books tend to be harsh, emotionally intense and sometimes shocking so I just need the break from that kind of reading.  This is a great break with out being too hokey (is that spelled right?).  This is the beginning of a new story arc with Boy Blue who decides to ask Rose Red out for the first time.  Suffice it to say he has his hopes dashed and his heart crushed.  With anger and hurt feelings he leaves her behind to fight.  I am totally ready to go out “into the big world” with him on his travels.  And what better motivation can he have than a broken heart.  He is at a crossroads and needs to find himself, it should be interesting to see where he goes and how he interacts with others in this arc.   I’m definately here for the ride.

    If you can go from here, more power to you, but if you find yourself liking it, find a way to read that which came before.  Get the trades, or go to the library or something, but if you liked this without having read it, you’re in for a treat.

    Hi Josh!  I love the podcast, you Ron and Conner have recommended tons of great books.  This one I felt was a nice break, I think I enjoyed it largely because I needed a break from Super heros and ulltra graphic indy books some times.  For that reason I’m going to keep pulling it, at least for now.  Any other recommendations that stray from the Supes?  I like Ex Machina, I liked the Unbrella Acdemy (sad that it is over), I’m enjoying Black Summer (sort of a heros gone bad book) and Kick Ass looks like it will be good too.  Don’t get me wrong I like the Super heros …my favs are New Avengers, Iron Fist, Green Arrow & Black Canary, and Allstar Batman and Robin to name a few. 

    Glad to see you guys read our reveiws.  I’m looking forward to the next podcast.  Great pick guys and I too agree with Kick Ass as pick of the week.
