This book was a big disappointment. I was very troubled when she started dodging bullets like Neo. This book’s story line is shallow at best and a depressingly silly series of borrowed scenes from other media at worse. I would discourage people from spending their money on this book and I pre-ordered 10 copies that I’m stuck with. I’m a big fan of the work that has been done by image the last 9 months or so. I hope that the seres turns around but the creator needs help from a writer. He is not a writer. In his letter to readers at the end of the book he admits that he drew some scenes of subject matter that he enjoyed (a pretty gal being chased by men with guns)and then filled in the text. I was very surised when I read this letter that the writer/artist admits that he lifted the plot of his last book from “The Ring” and then uses the word “too” when he shuold have used the word “two.” This shocking failure of grammer, editing, etc. was the last straw for me. The series is broken and it is sad because a good writer and a good editor could have helped a good artist put out a good book. Now we’ve all read first issues that were poor and seen comics do 180 degree turns. I have serious doubt that this book is going to do that but I will hope for the best. I hope that in the future, the artist abandons his plans for his unpublishe screenplays, his dream of writing comics and pairs himseld with a great writer and makes a great product. If the creator is adament about writing his own books or livi his dream as a screenplay writer – he needs to take Robert McKee’s course on writing and read his books (starting with Story).

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 4 - Very Good
