I was all set to hate this series but durn it …I can’t . It is fun , offbeat and a whole lot of fun . I tried to like the last Doom Patrol series but it just seemed to wander around lost , but this one is well written , and the art is perfect . Giffen and company are having way too much fun on this series and it shows . I have never been a big Giffen fan but on this title they have hooked me big time . Robotman , Elastigirl , Negative Man and the Chief have’nt looked this good since their inception . The creative team has shown a lot of respect for the guys and it makes for a great comic .

  Also the Metal Man backup feature is everybit as good as the Doom Patrol , the art is fantastic and the writing is hysterical . It may not be as good as the Weds. Comics feature but it is boatloads better than the recent Metal Men mini series .

  All in all this book is one of the better series to come out lately , its offbeat , quirky and fun . In other words its just what the Doom Patrol ouight to be .
