Although I was deeply disappointed to find that Batwoman was no longer the focus, and Rucka had departed from the main storyline, I was pleasantly surprised by Detective Comics #864. I feel that Batman stories are usually at their best when they deal with the psychology of the characters more than anything. Detective Comics #864 deals primarily with Jeremiah Arkham, for whom the trials of running the Arkham Asylum have taken a dire toll on his mental health, and Batman confronts him in his search for the Black Mask.
The art fits the narrative perfectly in this book, matching the tone of the narrative very well and ending up with a really strong issue of Detective Comics. Although many will be jumping off now that its back to being a plain old Batman book, I for one am sticking around, because the story remains compelling, and I still love reading The Question every month.
Art: 4 - Very Good

I take it you don’t read the regular Batman book? Batman wasn’t trying to get Jeremiah help him find Black Mask, Jeremiah IS Black Mask.
Maybe I just misunderstood that part of your review.
