I’ve often glowed about Detective Comics with Batwoman in it. To a certain point, I still stand by my statement, but did this really need to be three issues? And did we really need all this simultaneous storytelling? Mind you, it’s not a bad story, it just feels like a good story cut (no pun intended) to pieces, someone taking those pieces, and shuffling them together. I do like the stuff with Bette, but that’s to be addressed in a future issue, I guess.

On the other hand, I’m loving the Co-Feature/back-up with The Question. Adding The Huntress in was certainly a welcome change of pace and you see these characters really get along. Their hunt leads them to Oolong Island and ultimately to the middle east to find a surprising villain. I wish this back-up would get more praise, and with Batwoman on her way out of the book, let’s hope that day comes sooner than later.
