I feel like Detective is starting to lag a little. The currant Batwoman story doesn't feel nearly as vibrant as what has come before, I almost feel like Rucka is holding back waiting for the Batwoman stand-alone book. This is not to say that the Batwoman feature is bad, just that it's not excellent like the first couple of arcs were. There are still good ideas, but I don't feel like I'm getting meaty Kate Kane character stuff anymore the way we were up to this point. As for The Question feature, the lighter-hearted tone feels very off-putting coming after the much darker Cutter storyline in the Batwoman feature. On it's own, The Question story feels like it holds together a lot more and makes me more interested to read what happens next, but the dichotomy between it and Batwoman feels extremely jarring. I can't wait until the Batwoman book starts up, I feel confident that will go a long way to addressing the issues I'm having right now with this book.
