There are three things The Marvel Universe doesn’t need right now: another Deadpool series, a book where the villain is Norman Osborne, and another title written by Fred Van Lente.  There is one thing this issue has going for it: No Norman Osborne.  Unfortunately, it is another Deadpool book, and it is written by Van Lente.  Seriously, did Quesada not see the abomination that was Cowboys vs. Aliens?  Van Lente is a terrible writer with no sense of character.  He has the comedic timing of a propless Carrot Top.  I will not be picking up any other issues unless Way or another writer takes over.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 3 - Good

  1. You say Osborn isnt the villain here?

You sold me! I didnt pay much attention to the score anyways. 🙂

  2. It is soooooooooooo bad.  Then again, you liked the Kelly/Liefeld story, so maybe you’ll like this one.  8P

  3. Hey! Joe Kelly did a great job with a character he was born to write. Plus Liefeld returned to top form with the artwork. You just don’t know! lol

  4. Ha!  Kelly baffles me.  I hate his Deadpool (I know, sacrilege), I can’t stand his Bad Dog series, but I love his Spider-Man, his I Kill Giants and his Four Eyes.  I guess I’m not attuned with his humor material.  Which is odd, as I’m a huge fan of vulgarity and shock value when it’s got some sort of merit behind it, but I just haven’t been able to reconcile why he writes his humor the way he does.

  5. Well this was my pick so……Your wrong! lol
