Thank f*n Way.  After the incredible disappointment that was The Merc With A Miscalculation, I was hesitant to pick this issue up.  I know, it’s a completely different writer, one who hasn’t really led me astray on Deadpool (if you don’t count the crossover with Diggle).  And, I mean, pirates. But, see, Zombie Deadpool was a cool idea that fizzled in his title, what hope could Pirate Deadpool have?

Pirate Deadpool is awesome.  I dare call him Dread Pirate Wilson.  And his adventures with Bob The (censored for spoilery) is exactly the ton of fun I needed.  Actually, with the exception of the steaming pile of Dark X-crement that is the Utopia title, all the Marvel comics I’ve read this week have been fun.  Something sorely lacking in many of their titles for the last year or so.

  1. Pirates and Deadpool mix well like…..

Orange Soda and Mike & Ikes.

Sorry that analogy is so specific. Eating some right now.

  2. How did I know that yours would be the first comment?  It’s like I’m psychic or something.  😉

  3. @akamuu: People can just sense me with their ‘annoy tracker’ 🙂

  4. On this one, it was more that my Deadpool-sense was tingling.

  5. I freakin’ loved this issue.  This is Deadpool.

    The stick will teach you.

  6. I liked it but I’m missing Medina on art.  The art was too basic for me but with Deadpool at least it fits.

  7. I loved it.
