I’ve spent lots of time in South America, and I’ve delved some into their art and literature. One of my favorite things about this book (and these artist/storytellers) is that they make me feel like I’m reading Latin American magical realistic stories, or with the characters in the Latin American city or beach town. I feel a connection to the characters AND to the setting.

Above all, when I read this title, I get taken away to a place they’ve created and it envelopes me entirely. In a way only comics can. Well, only good comics anyway.
