This issue was a more than satisfying ending to a great chapter in the Young Avengers story, possibly the best chapter since Heinberg went off to do TV.  The complaints I keep seeing about this final issue are what prompted the review--people seem to be annoyed that they didn't get to see more action from many of the characters who showed up for the big throwdown.

Well, that's what happens when you've put too many pieces on the board and have 22 pages to hit the important parts of the game.  I am more than happy to skip watching the full fight scenes that no doubt unfolded off-screen between various combinations of characters who were present, in favor of seeing wonderful and truly important moments, like Patriot breaking his hand on Iron Patriot, Wiccan being kind to Enchantress, and Bullseye getting spanked by a girl for the second time this week (and loving it, perv that he is).  Best of all was the ending: Patriot actually shamed Norman Osborn.  How amazing is that?  Who would have thought it possible?  That's the true triumph of this story--for just a moment, the Young Avengers made the Big Bad wish he were maybe not a good guy, but at least a better guy.
