Maybe it's because I read this immediately after reading Incredible Hulk this week, but I really don't see how people don't love the hell out of this book.

Admittedly, I'm a pretty big fan of Pak's work on the character and think that he's second only to PAD in terms of writing great Hulk stories, but I really liked this book. I think there was enough of a difference between Bruce and Skaar and Herc and Choi that it is readily apparent. Bruce is imparting wisdom on his son. Herc and Choi are Bros having high adventure and chicks when someone isn't getting kicked in the nuts.

As for this issue specifically, I liked the use of the Warbound chick, even if I think there hasn't been a good story involving them off their planet. I like the idea of Banner actually using his brain instead of the stale, Hulk on the run story that we've seen so many times and, I personally, find uninteresting. I like how it's been, what, 3 months and Banner is back to being the Hulk. It was stupid of Loeb to write it out and having it fixed this quickly shows that.

I do think the "ha HA" bit where Hand and Bruce kept one upping each other went on a little too long, but it played out amusingly in my head at least, and the endgame pay off for it was worth it.

I enjoyed how Karla got called out for getting her ass kicked by the Hulk good and regular.

I liked the art.
