Yay Bendis and Deodato are back on board!  I didn’t care much for the Utopia crossover even though the last couple of parts were good and finished the event well.  I’m glad to be able to read Bendis’s Dark Avengers again and this issue doesn’t disappoint.  He injects some much needed humanity into these characters and it is really evident in the scenes with Ares.  We even get an “oh shit” moment that involves the Sentry (and he’s not crying). I’ve liked most of Luke Ross’s art recently but Deodato is a better fit for this book.  I prefer his darker style on this issue.  He did have a two page panel layout that was hard to follow that I had to reexamine but it wasn’t much of a problem.  I’ m glad to have the book I’ve been enjoying back.  This wasn’t my “pick of the week” but it was my “#2 of the week” definitely.
