Another solid issue from Waid & Co. I’ve been lucky enough to have Daredevil have been consistently good throughout my comics reading career, but, I have to say, I am really enjoying Waid’s mix up of the status quo. Even though the title has been marketed as a swashbuckling adventure title and not the hate on Matt Murdock 24/7 title it used to be, there are still very much undertones of Matt’s sadness/depression–in fact, the happiness serves as a stark contrast to Matt’s somber moments and seems more like an act (something I think Waid has alluded to in interviews). Anyways, this issue was a great conclusion to the MoleMan arc while still moving the overarching story forward. The art is also, as has been the case during this entire run, simply fantastic and not the normal Jim Lee-esque fare of the medium. If you’ve been enjoying this title so far, there is no reason you won’t enjoy this issue.
