Wow.

Easily a contender for worst comic of the year?

The writing is diabolical. Full of coincidences, unengaging characters and origin plot points so convenient you’ll get whiplash from throwing your head back in despair so often (her costume being designed Looney Tunes style apparently).

With Anne Hathaway doing the unexpected and giving the cinema audience an exciting new take on the character it is a shame Nocenti has decided to tell such a cliche origin in such a bad comic. There’s no excitement in this book, just twenty-odd pages of laziness (including the worst panel I’ve seen for a good while – “I need to know!”)

This book will not maintain new readers – if this was my first comic it would only serve to support all the lazy criticisms aimed at the industry as a whole. Get this writer off this book immediately.
