It is amazing what a fresh new coat of paint will do for a good book. After trying and failing to get into the new Captain Marvel series, mainly due to the look of the art, I decided to check back in when Filipe Andrade took over on interiors, and sweet Jesus am I ever glad that I did. Andrades work (and Carols lengthened hair) really gave this book the shot in the arm it needed to go from good to great. During action panels his art really jumps off the page and yet manages to stay sweet and grounded during the slower character moments in the issue. The story is great and easy to jump into, it also packs in some great character moments for a character that I feel is often dismissed when written into events and team booksl. On top of that who can resist a cameo by Captain America on a hover bike? (I wish Captain America would fly a hover bike through every comic. For no other reason than just wanting to feel the air on his helmet wing dealies)
