I have to say the final issue of this arc felt a little flat compared to the previous three, not to mention the somewhat Power Ranger-style ending where everyone laughs.  That aside, I love this book. Cornell’s background gives the reader a very natural British tone, where most writers would simply have each character say “bloody” at least three times in order to seem authentic.  Not to mention in a very trade-centric industry, Cornell’s plan of having at least the first few arcs be  4 issues long, seems not only refreshing but makes each comic feel very driven and action-packed.  The great reaction to this book does make me wonder why Excalibur was never given to Cornell.  That said I can’t wait to see where this book takes us.  Plus, how often can you say that you’re a Captain Britain fan and not be met with insane laughter?
