New rule: if you’re going to write a comics arc with a time-travel paradox, the issues of the comic must ship on time.

Paraphrase of new rule: Joss Whedon, you may not write a comics arc with a time-travel paradox.  Ever.

When I first read this issue, it had been way too long since I read the previous installments.  I had no clue what was going on.  I did, however, come to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving armed with the three previous issues of the arc.  Because I was pretty sure that would happen.  I tossed all four issues at my brother, said, “Read these and tell me that they’ll make some kind of sense if I take the time to reread them.”  He did, and he promised me they would, and I reread and decided, “Yep, this was a pretty good arc.”  It even basically makes sense, if you account for the time travel paradox, and I haven’t understood one of those since the first ‘Terminator’ movie.

Also, I really really want a ‘Fray’ ongoing.  With a writer and artist who can ship on time.  And a pony.

  1. I think they should do a Fray ongoing with Drew Goddard on writing and Karl Moline on pencils….
