I have a feeling I am going to be in the minority here but, I was REALLY looking forward to this and I got to say it fell flat for me.

Maybe my expectations were too high but I didn’t emotionally connect with the characters or the story like the last 6 issues. I felt I would have gotten the same effect if I had only read the wikipedia article about this issue rather than read the issue.

The art was was great but the story, rather than showing everything coming together, felt more like pieces being moved on a chess board. That being said, I’m going to trust Johns and Tomasi know what they are doing and will definitely give issue 8 a try.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 5 - Excellent
