Even though Brightest Day hasn’t been revealing too much in the mysteries that surround its story, I still find myself completely enjoying the title every two weeks.  The mishmash of art and story really scratches the curious itch that Blackest Night left in its wake.  I applaud DC for telling the stories of these characters in this format instead of a bunch of miniseries or ongoings.  I’m definitely intrigued by where the story is going, and this issue was a satisfying addition.

  1. I’m glad that they didn’t put out a bunch of minis as well. However, I think this title would have worked better as a 12 issue maxi-series because the story would have moved along better.

  2. I don’t think a 12 issue series would give the story enough time to breathe.  If anything, we’d all be complaining that the story was too quick and that it was glossing over details.  I think this is a series with the end game in sight, so I’m more than happy to take the time to deal with each characters arc.

  3. neb–you’re prob right, but as its set up now, its still a frustrating purchase.
