Why have they returned? I don’t know. The characters don’t know and I’m not sure that either one of us will find out anytime soon.

I continue to read hoping to find a character, a story or  a plot thread that will hook me into the story and make me a reader until its conclusion like I had during 52 with the Renee Montoya and Booster Gold story arcs. So far – no dice.

No doubt, it is well written and the art is top notch but it is a bad sign when the thing I was most excited/intrigued about was the advertisement for Paul Cornell’s run on Action Comics starring Lex Luthor.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 4 - Very Good

Comments

  1. Johns said that the characters will find out why they have returned in issue seven.

  2. I haven’t read this issue yet, but some have returned to get rid of a "counter-part" evil. Like Martian Manhunter is here to get rid of that evil martian that came before he did. That’s just my guess.
