So far we’re issue 2 into a 26 issue series, and all I’m hearing from other people is bitching and complaining. “What’s up with aquaman?” “Why isn’t Deadman doing anything” “I shit my pants, and Geoff Johns won’t write a scene where my mommy cleans it out”. STOP BITCHING PEOPLE. I would wager that most of you are reading Brightest Day because you like Johns’ stuff. Then you know HE’S A LONG DISTANCE RUNNER. If you want a sprint, start reading one-shots.

Phew. That all being said, this issue turned me to being interested in what the hells up with Firestorm. Didn’t care at all for the Martian Manhunter retread. And def. piqued my interest with the ending. All in all Johns and Tomasi are crafting a tale that is making me interested in a whole new set of characters that I’ve known about but haven’t given a shot before. Bravo.

Some of the art is good, some of the art is servicable. Whatyagonnado?

Story: 4 - Very Good
