“I DIE and I’m forced to float across the earth as a ghost, I LIVE and I’m forced to float across the earth as what? The invisible man? I might as well still BE a ghost” _Deadman

Now this is what a first issue should be like. Johns and Tomasi set the tone just right so we know where we are and we have a feeling of where we are going, but the mystery, oh the mystery can take us anywhere. This is the kind of first issue that’s more like a good movie trailer, in the sense that just from reading this you know whether your on board or not. We have gotten a good introduction to the characters who have been solidified for the long run, in other words we know who the main players are. As much as I have learned and know what to expect, the element of surprise and the lure of a good mystery is laid out in front of me. After reading this i can say I love all these characters. Some are very close to my heart (J’onn J’onzz) and others are totally new to me (Deadman) but like I said they are good characters in an awesome situation.
The art has me sold too. Every aspect is spot on from the inking, to the colors, from the lettering to the layout, from the penciling to the bodies, from the FEET for god sakes to the facial expressions this is GOOD hard work paying off. Five Artists and three Inkers 40 pages for 2.99 twice a Month!?! I am so down!

Story: 4 - Very Good
