Bloodshot continues to fire on all cylinders in this issue, as he storms Project Rising Spirit's secret base. This series is at its best when its focused on brutal action set pieces and techno-espionage, and that's what we get here, as Bloodshot goes up against Chainsaw: an elite group of mutated killing machines. Swiercyzski keeps the pace of this issue fast and frenetic, but the fight scenes are smartly storyboarded and very unpredictable. Chainsaw aren't so much a brute force as they are highly trained assassins, and that's reflected in how they respond as a team. Bloodshot fights to win, using any aspect of his environment or given situation to his advantage, and this results in some bloody good moments, such as when he stabs one of the Chainsaw team in the throat with a protruded bone from his broken arm. For those Valiant fans who've been waiting for these titles to cross over with each other, the last few pages of Bloodshot #6 are going to have a huge impact on the upcoming Harbinger Wars miniseries, so if you're not already reading it, I highly suggest Harbinger fans start picking up Bloodshot with #6. Bloodshot is my second favorite Valiant title (after Harbinger), and it just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait for the Harbinger Wars to begin!
