A nicely put together comic book however I feel with this book, more than any other in the before watchmen line, that they have lost the spirit of the original watchmen issues. Watchmen took place in an understandable world which felt close to our own. The invention of nefarious record execs and villain gangs goes too far into fantasy land for me. The writing style is a poor imitation of Alan Moore rather than unique in its own right. On the whole I feel this book is bipolar, it wants to be closely tied to watchmen but at every moment you can feel the writer straining to want to do his own thing, which to me is a pointless endeavour.
