So…spoiler: whoever wrote the solicits for this issue, and did the cover, must have been thinking of a completely different issue. Because Tim Drake is in this for a single page. And he doesn’t talk.

Instead, this issue tells the story of the Talon who went after Lincoln March in BATMAN #9. It’s okay for what it is, but it isn’t that compelling a Talon backstory, relatively speaking, and doesn’t add anything new to the Talons or the Court.

And that’s really all I have to say about this issue, I think. I wish this had been Tim’s confrontation with a Talon, if only for the sake of Tim doing something, but it isn’t. Not at all.

  1. I agree. I was really looking forward to a Tim Vs Talon tale. I’m pinning my hopes on Morrison remembering Tim exists in Batman Inc (and Steph and Cassandra!).

  2. I was looking forward to seeing Tim beat up a Talon. This was pretty misleading. On the plus side, I could finally tell March and Bruce apart…who Capullo draws exactly the same.
