The front story in Streets of Gotham, Dini’s Zsaz storyline suffers from over-narration.  Readers know how Gotham is, and how it got that way.  Or, if they don’t know, they probably don’t want to find out from reading two pages of text that don’t do anything but distract from the story.

As far as its general plot: a story about living in Gotham from the point of view of The Broker.  It was interesting.

But Dini’s story was both visually and plotwise overshadowed by Marc Andreyko’s Manhunter story.

Story: 3 - Good

  1. Last month’s issue wasn’t all that satisfying for me, I hope this one does a little better. It was so awesome at the start, then the art just got sloppier with each issue.  I hope this issue is a slighty needed improvement but I won’t find out until 2 or 3 o’clock now that I go to a different LCS.

  2. I couldn’t understand what the heck happened at the very end of the main feature.  Did Batman hand The Broker something or did The Broker hand it to him?  What was it? An iPod Touch?  Why was The Broker all roughed up afterwards? I’m actually lost here.

It still wasn’t all that great of an issue anyway…
