I'm relatively new to comics had have only started by singles since the beginning of Batman Reborn, so that may have coloured my experience with this book.

Batman: Streets of Gotham is a book that makes me nervous. It had had interesting things in each issue, has plenty of interesting directions it can go ....but I dont know if they're going to be fully realized.

The plot threads currently hang in this series are;
The character of Abuse
Penguins revenge on Black Mask
Whatever the hell it is Hush is doing
Zsasz plan to murder everyone

I'm excited about each of these, but Abuse seems to have been forgotten,
Hush is under wraps for the time being,
Penguin can't move until Black Mask screws up and his plan just seems to be sitting back and funding wackjobs
and this issue didnt really advance what Zsasz is doing that much.

Combine that with the fact issues 5 and 6 are being written by a different writer, Chris Yost, and will focus on ManBat and Huntress, it seems that these plot points could fall on the way side and be forgotten. Also the cover of issue 7 has Manhunter on it, so that'll be another plot thread.

This individual issue was fairly interesting and focused on the Broker character brought up in Gotham City Sirens #1. The backup feature is forgetable.

At best this is an interesting way to drop hints about zsasz's plan which will come to an incredible climax involving all the lose plot elements coming together in an interesting and gripping way. At worst this is 'Batman: The Broker' oneshot.

Take from that what you will.
Nguyen's art is nice as always
