I love Grant Morrison, but he's starting to lose me with Return of Bruce Wayne #2. I'm a Marvel guy by nature, so it already takes a carrot to get me reading a DC title. I've enjoyed most of Morrison's, especially since he's taken over the Bat mythos, but the sequences in this book that take place in the past bored the hell out of me. The opening was great, classic Morrison, as was the section toward the end when Bruce shows up in the present day story. But that's what hurt the book in the long-run. Those parts were too good, and the fact that we know Bruce ends up in the future, it kind of takes the urgency out of his getting out of the past. Bottom Line: I understand Grant Morrison's desire to tell these stories of Batman lost in time. Aa concept, it sounds like a great way to bring some of the zany Batman stories from the '50s and '60s back into continuity. But if it's going to be worth reading, he's going to have to make the little episodes more interesting than this. I'm probably on board until #6 no matter what, but this was disappointing.
