I struggled with my Pick of the Week for this week between Batman Inc. and Flashpoint but, in the end, Batman Inc. was just much more fun.  It’s not often that I’ll finish a book and then go right back to read it over again, but that was the case here.

Morrison gives us a fun, exciting and sometimes silly Batman story that wraps up the first six issues while setting up what will probably be the next year of stories in this title.  I’m a huge fan of Yanick Paquette but Chris Burnham does a nice job filling in with his Quitely-esque style.  There are scenes in this book where Bruce Wayne is just leaping off the page and swaggering through panels like he should.  This is the Bruce we’ve been waiting to see again.  He’s back in control, he has a plan in mind and he’s got the right people to help him execute it.

For those that didn’t give this title a chance, you are really missing out.  This is easily one of the best Bat-books in print currently.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
