I feel like Chris Burnham is coming into his own style more, instead of imitating Quitely, but it’s still very reminiscent here in its excellent portrayal of Quitely characters like Damain-as-Robin and Pyg. I admit to finding Matches Malone cheesy as a concept, but there’s no question that the use of this part of the mythos was an interesting way to set Batman up for a serious mistake, which in turn leads to an important and inspiring moment for Damian which is also probably the best cliffhanger of the week.

  1. Matches Malone reminds me a lot of Plastic Man; who would have thought Batman had thatin him? Also, very intrigued about Redbird, and the Batcave hologram that brings into the current continuity what happened before the relaunch.
