Grant Morrison does it again! This issue is full of surprises and guest appearances, and as the bat family is gearing up for battle they finally untangle leviathans maniacal web which traces back to some of the most important moments in the Bat history, so where will it all lead to? Nobody knows, and yet we will find out soon. As always the artwork was spot on and Morrison’s story telling could not be any sharper. This issue is a MUST BUY!!!

Now, on a personal note: As you can see this book had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that would spark any media attention to the Colorado Shooting, and yes some may think that the sensible thing would be to can this title which was written ONE YEAR AGO and wait to release it on August 22nd hoping that by some miracle that everyone will forget what happened on that dreadful night. But what they’re not aware of is that the more attention you give this the more people will remember, THEY should STOP depicting society as a bunch of imbeciles who do nothing more than fling feces to one another!
Just because something was COMPLETELY UNFORESEEN and was COMPLETELY OUT OF THEIR CONTROL happened on the midnight premiere of what could have possibly been the best ending to any trilogy in recent history does not mean that they should punish or impose a censure upon themselves when it is obvious that it’s NOT THEIR FAULT. If WB or DC feel bad about what happened then go and make a charity event, provide comfort and support to the loved ones of the victims and the survivors, DON’T LET THE BAD GUY WIN, and show that even in times of uncertainty we as a nation can learn, grow and overcome.

In the words of the wise Alfred Pennyworth: “Why do we fall, sir? So that we might better learn to pick ourselves up.”

Q:in your opinion, did this issue deserve to be sidelined? would it have been better to just postpone ALL Bat-titles? if so why.

  1. I said in the other comment thread but I’ll repeat it here, I don’t think this issue deserved to be sidelined but can see why DC did it, they knew news organizations would be on the prowl for anything remotely controversial they could start a witch hunt ageist and DC thought was just covering their ass.
