As a kid, Batman Beyond was one of my favorite TV shows, this comic however doesn't quite live up to that.

The Mini that came be for was flawed, but descent over all. Which this fist issue of the new on going feel much the same way. It is nice to see the supporting cast as well as the Beyond Justice League, but what this comic really lacks, is the great villains the show had.

In this arch we get another new villain, who's origin is rather cliche and lack luster. The whole, man gets a terminal medical condition, after years of overexposure from studying various substance The JL gathered from villains; blames Heroes, and plans to kill them with villain's weapons that he happens to have access to.

Kind of lame really.

On top of that, the art is not really the style I think of when I think of a Batman Beyond comic. It just doesn't have that Super Hero Cyber-punk crackle that it needs.

I hope this comic makes a  major 180, before the end or after this 3 issue arch. Because I love Batman Beyond, and I don't want to see it go away again.
