This story was very underwhelming for me.  I was a fan of the series and this issue did have moments where it felt like the series but overall I was not that impressed.  It almost felt like Beechen watched a few episodes of the show to familiarize himself with the lingo but fell back on familiar bat-villians like mad hatter and hush instead of creating new more interesting ones because I for one am sick of Hush.  The art was weak in this issue it was like a quasi bruce timm style without any of the finesse and movement of that style.  The colors were lazy it seemed the whole issue was green backgrounds.  I'm definitely going to keep reading because I like the character and I am a sucker
