Someone handed Grant the LSD again.  And this time, he’s having a good trip, and would really like to share it with you.

Once again, this issue is self-contained and awesome.  Great, creepy story.  Frank Quitely art.  A great Oh Shit final panel.

You’re probably already reading this series, and planning on buying this issue.  Do it.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. Yes. Yes I am.

  2. Thank you for taking the time to write these little reviews for us.  They really inform my buying decisions.

  3. Only a four for art?

  4. I was at a 5 for art, without question. The image of Batman driving the 4-wheeler while holding a villain with only sparsely drawn wood paneling in the background was as good as it gets. If I were to award a 4, it would be for the writing, which, although really good, was a touch meandering, almost as though Morrison felt the need to fill a few extra pages. But, without a doubt, this was a great issue.

  5. @BrianBaer & coltrane68: Yeup.  Only a four.  It was great, but I didn’t enjoy the art as much as I did in the last issue.  And the writing was a five for me because this was full on acid trip Morrison, and yet it was an enjoyable read.  And, for me, it’s been a long time since Morrison was able to pull off both of those things.
