I’ve come to expect good things from Dini, even when involving previously mediocre or misused characters, such as Hush.  And given that this mini-arc is just setting Hush into place for Battle for the Cowl, the issue doesn’t feel superfluous.  What really stuck out for me, though, was Nguyen’s art.  I don’t think I’ve ever liked it as much as I liked it in this issue.  I don’t know if that’s an effect of his evolution, that they had more time to do these issues thanks to the Denny O’Neill arc, or that he’s just growing on me.  My feeling is that usually, he gives alot more time and attention with his art to the female characters (don’t confuse that with me hinting that he’s at all cheesecake-y), but in this issue I saw that same care throughout almost everything he did.  Of course, Dini does a fine job here, too.  When two certain someones are “revealed”, I actually stopped and remarked out loud that I can’t believe I didn’t see that coming.  And I didn’t because I was having too much fun, which has become synonymous with anything by Dini I have read in recent memory.  bravo, sir.  Now… give us more of The Carpenter!
