This will be short.

You know what’s great about Scott Snyder? Nothing is wasted in any book he writes. Every word, every action, is careful and intentional, and his characterization is so dead on that it’s creepy. We’re in issue 4 of an eleven-part story–about the time when a story begins to wander down a rabbit-trail or two of unresolved plot lines–and yet this story feels tight and focused, honed in on its destination, and moving full-speed ahead down the tracks that Snyder has so thoughtfully and deliberately placed before it. It’s like watching one of those Rubik’s Cube wizards who can solve that nightmare in 60 seconds flat–Snyder can see four, five moves ahead at any given time, and we just sit back and watch him drop the pieces into place. Amazing.

And I didn’t love Greg Capullo’s art at first, but now, I don’t want anyone else drawing this book. His pencils and Snyder’s words are a perfect fit.

One of DC’s best. It should be on every pull list.
