Dare I say that this is still just Batman vs Joker? Is there really anything new here, anything we haven’t seen before? Probably not. But it certainly does say something about this creative team when even without having the most original story in the world, they still produce a fantastic book.

Creepy in all the right places, as dark and as sinister as it needed to be, and, lets face it, so good to look at. Capullo has been so consistent, he really has made this batman his batman; not another jim lee clone or another batman so indie he is unrecognisable, but his, but a recognisable, human and haunting batman.
