This special one shot was an excellent use of a two in one for a title with a legion of characters.  The main story involving Hardball and Komodo was well written albeit a tinge over dramatic.  I mean come on Hardball is working out of a very convoluted psyche to say some of the things he says, even in the asides.  All is forgivable for the amazing scene near the end of the story that takes place on the Vegas Strip.  I’ll try not to blow anything but its definitely worth some of the questionable character choices and puzzling motivation.

The second story gave us a great look into Trauma’s character.  I haven’t read the Initiative extensively but started picking them up prior to Secret Invasion and find that he’s a pretty consistant character with an intriguing power.  I hope they follow through with this story as well as the ending seemed just as engaging as the previous tale’s.
