I want to start by saying I haven’t read any of the secret invasion material, based on what was my budget at the time. I got turned on to this book based on the Parker & Hardman word balloon podcast. I saw it in the store, and  remembered I liked the interview about the title and decided to give it a chance.

The book is excellent!! The story contains mystery, suspense and aspects of a thriller all wrapped up under this title. I was filled in on the aspects of  the main character for the story arc and his  past, as well as given a little insight into another character from the team. I am sure that Jeff Parker will delve into the other characters as the series continues. The back up story in the book seems just like an introduction, and we will see what happens because it had  less pages to flesh out a story. I am on for the ride based on my overall experience with the book.  The art work is great, kind of in the area of Michael Lark(Gabriel Hardman), which could be a bad thing because the last thing I want to see in a graphic medium is a lot of imitation. There are subtle differences which do separate the two though, which I can appreciate. Based on the story and the art, I do not want to wait for the trade. This book will be in my monthly list of books.   Mystery, suspense, good art work…I am in
