Archer and Armstrong #5 was pretty much just an extended chase scene with a couple gags thrown in, and the idea of bringing the Geomancers back didn’t really interest me, so I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this second arc, but #6 issue sold me on the concept of A&A again and continued to prove that this rebooted series is every bit as good as the original. Fred Van Lente is a great comedic writer, and Clayton Henry’s art is as fantastic as ever. This is a great creative team, and this book stands out among many of the exceptional titles being published by Valiant.

Some people might be turned off by the politics of Archer and Armstrong, but I love it. Any comic that includes the line, “Of course global warming is real, you idiot!” gets my vote for Pick of the Week. Archer and Armstrong is one of the smartest and funniest mainstream comics on the stands.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
