I was positively made of worry when I opened this book and saw Emma Rios’s art (not that there’s anything wrong with her art), and a story about Kaine, but it quickly segued into the Wells/Bachalo Lizard story.  Bachalo is the perfect artist for the fracturing of Connors’s mind.  I understand that some people don’t like how often he breaks panels, but I find them gorgeous, in particular the two page spread near the end.  Yes.

    I completely agree, thought the art might put me off but I actually ended up liking it quite a bit.

    Yea, Bachalo’s art is really divisive.  I fall on the "I like it" end of the specturm, but I totally get people who don’t like it.

    Do they always do Bachalo with Zeb Wells?  I remember the issues with the Mayan god.  That was the same art/writer team no?

    I don’t think they’re always paired together, but this is the (don’t quote me on this) second or third time they’ve been matched up.
