As much as I’ve enjoyed the maturity of the last few “Gauntlet” stories, this issue is classic Spider-Man in the best possible sense of the word.  I haven’t been following the series for long enough to be too familiar with characters like Carly or Mr. Negative, but I really didn’t have to be.  There’s something enjoyable about being thrown in the middle of a super-powered soap opera, and this issue was a great example of that.

The art was, well, exactly what you’d expect from Marcos Martin.  That man was born to draw Spidey.
