That was better than I expected. Dan Slott has been hinting that he and Mr. Martin would be teaming up on a Mysterio story, so my expectations were high. A talented Spider-man writer, an artist whose skill suprises me every time and a villian who needs a revamp.

The plot moves forward in alot of subplots, the gang war is picking up speed, and May and Jay return home, and are instantly brought into the story. May’s encounter with Mr. Lei is a great follow on from Mr. Negative’s mini-series. Who honestly thought an aspect of that series would be seen again?

The art is great as well with a two page spread of Spider-man fighting gangsters that has alot of detail to be looking for. Plus forgotten cast member Carly is finally getting a bit of a back story.
