I...wow, just wow.
I want to keep my rage at the whole OMD thing, but between Van Lente and Kelly, these are some amazing books, no lame pun meant.
Really, if Marvel had manned up and just given Pete a divorce, I think I'd be behind this 100%. It's really just the lame Mephisto aspect that is keeping me filled with nerd rage.
This issue was insanely awesome. I'm pretty sure the Chameleon is a new guy, not the one from the first issue.
I'm sure of this, because Dmitri never seemed this together and the whole mask thing is a step back from the body morphing he was able to do in the last appearances I remember. Of course working for a terrorist is about his level, so really who knows, in the long run, it doesn't really matter.
What does matter is how much of a scum bag this guy is. The sleeping with the roommate was bad enough, but the scene with Flash was quite possibly the biggest jerkass thing anyone has done since Norman went up on the bridge with Gwen.
Pete should be able to explain things to MJ, but everyone else is going to think Pete was the world's biggest asshole.
The art was great and I cannot wait for the next issue.

This issue is good, but better than #601. I suppose it is about tied with #602. No ASM next week though! Shit, I’m actually looking forward to Web Of Spiderman now so I have some Spidey EVERY week!
The scene with Flash was one of the most painful things I have ever read. It was just horrifying, and knowing that Pete will have to deal with this casts a shadow over the whole book for many issues to come. What a knife twist.
