Westerns are a lost genre that we all should warm back up to. Currently, Jonah Hex highlights this genre and Jimmy and gang didn’t disappoint. This story is mostly about the exploits of Nighthawk and Cinnamon with a hint of Jonah Hex cruelty in the mix. We follow these crew of vigilantes as they unravel a mystery that somehow ties-in with the Night of the Owls storyline.

PROS:
This is has a western comic ambiance to it if you wanted to taste what this genre is about. You got the caper. You got our protagonists. You got the antagonists. It’s all plotted out for our enjoyment here. The dialogue is strong and for Jonah Hex fans, they will be treated to usual Hex-capades they’ve grown to love.

CONS:
Multiple Identity Crisis. For us longtime comic fans, we know this is a western book but for the general audience it seems to be trying to dress-up as a mainstream book on a western theme. This may put off some new readers.
