Thank You Marvel!!!

For listening and observing how DC worked most of their relaunch titles.

I have stated many times that I have been a long time Comic reader and X-Men have always been my book of choice from when I was in high school. I was reading X-Men (Uncanny) since around issue #100.

I have not enjoyed a storyline this much for the X-Men in a very long time. Has there been good stories? Yes, Great issues? Yes, however only six issues into this new relaunch I am still fixated with each and every issue. Artwork is crisp and story line is deep and full of avenues to explore. I remember when it would take over a year for something that was touched in a single panel of an issue for that storyline avenue to come into play and that was a good thing at the time. Each storyline was deep and invovled and kept you awaiting for the next months issue to come out. That is the feeling I get with each new issue of this relaunch.

This and the relaunch of Thor are by far the top of line story telling being published by Marvel at this time.

There is a oneness between story and art that simply pulls you into this book.

If you are not picking this book up and reading it, then it is your loss.

Story: 5 - Excellent

  1. I disagree with the first line of your review. If Marvel followed DC’s lead they would have paired this title with a subpar writer from the 90’s and a constant rotation of subpar artists. This book is incredible though. Another great Marvel Now book.

    • Maybe they didn’t follow DC, maybe by observing what they did they picked up on what worked and what didn’t? Great book, I think all in all Marvel Now has been pretty successful.

    • I completely agree with the first line of the review. Marvel listened and observed, and said “Well that didn’t work out too well now did it?” and did not follow suit. They learned from DC’s mistakes.
