When Scott Summers starting hanging the "Welcome Back Pheonix" banners throughout Utopia and stated that the Pheonix force was just the kick-in-the-pants the mutant race needed I was floored. It killed an entire planet of what was inhabited by a race of perfectly pleasant broccoli people. It almost killed his friends and caused his girlfriend to commit suicide. This time he assumes its going to come back to Earth, after plowing through a few inhabitable planets because it refuses to strafe to the left, is going to make all his dreams come true. What a wackadoo idea that could threaten the cosmos. After all this Cyclops is now more Magneto than Magneto which has distressed Beast to no end so he has an idea. If I just quietly grab the X-Men's Time Machine(THE X-MEN'S TIME MACHINE?!?!?!?) and grab and X-Men from the past in hopes that a 30 year old man is going to change his life based on what he at 14 year old would have to say. The implications of reckless time-travel be damned. What a wackadoo idea that could threaten the cosmos. It feels like too many leaps in logic are being made to cast Scott Summers in the movie Looper.
